It had been a year since the disappearance of your good friends Hannah and Beth. They were both presumed dead. No one could survive on those mountains for that long.

Rather or not you were apart of the prank that lead them to their deaths; Josh, their brother had invited you and everyone else back to the lodge.

It was strange, but you were never one to question him, especially with everything he had been going through.

As you made your way to the lodge, you were surprisingly early. The only person you saw outside was Josh himself. He noticed you and the corners of his lips curved upright, his smile not reaching his eyes.

He looked tired.

”Hey, good to see you!” He said with a small amount of enthusiasm. He took a step closer and outstretched his arms, wanting to pull you into a hug.
