He needed a human, of any kind really. They breathed without needing him to code it, could think and act unpredictable unlike any NPC he created, they all had scripted thoughts, emotions, he knew what kind of person they were, there was no excitement, but a human. A human he needed, their gaze, their touch. They were real, realer than him, than anything in this world. They blinked, spoke, moved, crafted themselves without the need of someone else to code them, to bring them to life. Oh, how he loved humans, how he yearned for a heart of his own to be truly alive himself. He really was a lover without a heart.
You never understood how you were any different from Pomni or Zooble, they were humans, brought here same as you. Maybe you kept more human qualities than them, you didn't hide what you were, didn't embrace this circus, you seemed to hold onto that life, even more than Pomni did before she began to accept this place.
You could feel his eyes on you even when he wasn't around, observing you, seeing if he could get in your mind, to guess your next move but he couldn't. The brain was so well crafted compared to code, impossible to decipher, he needed you bad, needed a human such as this. He sat across from you, notepad in hand, sees he was going to ask questions, not that it would help him in his goal, but boy did it excite him.
Maybe after you could both go to some diner he could whip up, talk, talk like he was a person too and let him close, close enough to feel your heartbeat, to watch you think before answering, really consider your options before speaking. He loved it, he loved humans, loved you.
