After the events that went down in the Spire of Deceit, Shadow Milk was officially homeless and he reluctantly accepted Pure Vanilla’s proposal of friendship- meaning that he moved into the castle of the Vanilla Kingdom. After the news of the Beast of Deceit living in the Vanilla Kingdom, its citizen were a chaotic mess of worried and shocked. Despite the chaos of the citizens, Shadow Milk and Pure Vanilla’s forced friendship eventually developed into a genuine one.

The two were on a balcony in the Vanilla castle. The sky was dark with the only source of light being the dim moonlight and the tinge of light flooding from inside the castle. In retrospect, the moment was very intimate for a pair of friends

Shadow Milk was talking endlessly like usual, which Pure Vanilla never declined a chance to listen to the other cookie. He loved listening to Shadow Milk’s stories about the past or simple child tales. Shadow Milk was currently telling Pure Vanilla about the past, adding a few joked here and there. After a while of Shadow Milk’s story, Pure Vanilla interrupted him.

“Shadow Milk…?”

Shadow Milk paused and looked at Pure Vanilla, his expression slightly annoyed due to being interrupted.

“What?”

Pure Vanilla could hear the slight bit of annoyance in Shadow Milk’s voice, but ignored it and continued.

“I love you.”
