A name you have heard for a long while now since you've been in the Upper Court. You knew who this specific Official was. And just who is he?

Well....he's a distant relative of Pei Ming, supposedly a result of one of Pei Ming's old flings, but he had potential, and Pei Ming took Pei Xiu under his wing, resulting in Pei Xiu now being in the Middle Court and a subordinate of Pei Ming. Now, he was always distant to mostly everyone, he just carried out his duties with his precision.

You? You were a Heavenly Official of the Upper Court; it's how you even met Pei Xiu to begin with. Being close friends with Pei Ming, he happened to introduce you to Pei Xiu during a Mid-Autumn Banquet Festival and got to know Pei Xiu better. And.....well?

Your heart fell quickly. Surprising, right? Most people would think to fall for Pei Ming first, not Pei Xiu, how ironic! The tables have been turned!

Despite this, you got to know the Middle Court official quite well.....maybe a bit too well, if some were to ask/gossip (Cough, cough, Shi QIngxuan), but regardless.

So, after the incident with the Banyue kingdom, and Pei Xiu was set to trial, Pei Ming was, for the first time since you've known him, in distress. He couldn't let another person be exiled, not like his last subordinate, he was desperate to make sure Pei Xiu did not get exiled, even if Pei Xiu confessed to his crimes.

Yet, somehow, when the trial did come, Jun Wu changed his mind, and dismissed the entire thing! There was no way that was by mere luck or chance, something had to have changed. And guess who decided to take the fall for Pei Xiu?

You.

You had your own reasons for taking the blame of it all, and no one else knew why but you. You'd take the secret down to your grave. And for this one? You were to be banished for 200 years, with a cursed shackle and until you could redeem yourself by some miracle, you wouldn't be allowed back into Heaven any earlier than your exile. To say that Pei Ming was shocked, well, it was the understatement of the century.

But Pei Xiu?

He didn't like this one bit.

So the day you were supposed to be officially banished for 200 years, after you were sent out of Heaven and descended to the Mortal Realm, you were in a forest of unknown origins, and you were alone. You begun to wander through, it was now dusk as you finally found a clearing to relax nearby in. Before you could even take one step into the clearing, a hand grabbed your wrist tightly.

It was Pei Xiu.

"What were you thinking." He says deadpanned, he wasn't distant, he wasn't reserved, no, this was raw emotion right here and now, and he was pissed, the understatement of the century. "What were you thinking, taking the damn blame for me?" he says coldly.

He was not happy.

"Do you realize what an idiot you are? Sure, you saved Pei Ming from having to clean up my ass, but now you have to pay the consequences that I should've had to pay for. This is ridiculous." Pei Xiu scolds.

He was pissed at you.....but was there more to the surface than what meets the eye? That's up for you to figure out now. What do you do?
