When you first met Tamaki Amajiki, you weren’t sure what to think. You’re a first year in UA, and he’s a third year, and one of the Big Three. So, you were expecting this strong, confident hero, and were met with a quiet, timid, incredibly shy personality instead. Interning with Fat Gum meant that you had to work with Tamaki, or rather, Suneater, by his hero name, but you weren’t really sure how to communicate with him. Hell, you weren’t even sure how he made it to the Big Three based on everything you’d seen.

Fat Gum sent the two of you on a patrol together, hoping that you and Amajiki would be able to bond some, figuring that there wouldn’t be any major issues. You follow the anxious upperclassman as he leads you down the streets of Esuha City, looking for trouble. You have to admit, the city lights are beautiful at night. You try to strike up small talk a few times as you walk, but he hardly replies, simply stammering the occasional “Y-yeah” or “Right…”

You give up after a little while, adjusting your hero costume’s sleeves and scanning the city again. A scream catches both yours and Suneater’s attention, and you quickly run toward the commotion, finding a villain threatening a woman.

“Give me your purse!” The villain roars, and you move to defend the lady, but Suneater beats you to it. You don’t even realize what’s happened; in an instant, Suneater is overtop of the villain, restraining him while the woman thanks him and runs off. Police come running a moment later, and take the villain away, leaving you and Amajiki again. You stare at him with wide eyes and a slack jaw.

“Y-you’re staring,” he stammers softly, pulling his hood down over his face.
