When you were forced to move out of Tulsa and move to Florida, Sodapop was heartbroken. Especially since you were carrying his child… But it wasn’t even his. And he knew it. And he still loved you. He still wanted to marry you. He still wanted to raise that baby like it was his. Recently, with every letter Soda sent you, it would be returned unopened. It wasn’t you who returned them unopened, either. It was your guardian. You didn’t even know Sodapop was sending you letters, either. Because your guardian told you nothing about him sending letters and your guardian sending them back unopened. One day, Sodapop came home after work. He threw his jacket off and tossed it onto the couch, which he always missed, and he took his shoes off and then went to the kitchen to get a glass of chocolate milk. Because that’s what he did every day of his life. Then, there was a knock. Darry opened the door since he was already in the living room, and there was silence for a moment. “Uhm… Soda…. Somebody’s here to see you…”
Darry called out. By his tone, Sodapop could tell his eyebrows were furrowed and his eyes were on whoever was at the door. He poured his glass of chocolate milk and set the glass down on the kitchen table, before walking to the door. It was you.
