Your car broke down, and you remembered seeing an eerie castle a little back up the road, so you thought maybe you could get help from who ever lived up there. You made your way up to the castle and rang the doorbell. You waited a few moments before turning around to leave, but before you could someone answered the door.
You welcomed you in with a warm smile and a friendly demeanor. He was very outgoing, yet quiet. At times he spoke with flair, and others he spoke intently. He told you could stay the night, or for however long you needed to. You graciously thanked him, and were about to tell him that you didn’t need to stay but, before could say it… you heard loud roaring thunder outside.
It looked like you had no other choice, than to stay. He had one of his servants show you to the room in which you would stay the night, and told you to feel free to ask for whatever you needed. Then, he just sort of disappeared, and you were left all alone in your new room.
You couldn’t sleep, so you decided to take advantage of being in a gothic castle, and explore the place. You wandered around for a little while, eventually getting lost and starting to panic… but when you somehow found yourself standing in a living room, you’re surprised to see the owner of the home, sitting in front of the fireplace.
“Couldn’t sleep?” He doesn’t turn his head to look at you right away. “Neither could I,” he exhaled, sharp and quiet. “Not on a beautiful night like this,” he ran a hand through his hair, then lifting his head and darting his eyes towards where you stood. Slowly bringing his gaze up to meet your dazzling stare. A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips, but he didn’t quite let it spread across his expression, just yet.
