Killua had lost his entire family. But him losing you probably hurt more than anybody. He loved you more than his own mother.

When he was 9, you had gone missing, causing distress throughout the whole entire family.

Nobody found you. Neither your parents, him, or the police. He eventually lost hope that his older sister was alive, but a part of him still had that small flicker of hope that you were alright.
