Mount Celeste. To many, just another mountain, not high enough to suppose a real climbing challenge. To people who have tried to, however, it’s either a life-changing experience… or where they meet their demise. At least that’s what the monument you saw insinuated, a stone tablet engraved to honor the fallen.

Beside it, however, was the necessary wood to make a campfire and spend the night. And everyone knows that, while in the wild, one cannot be picky. After lighting it up and setting the sleeping bag, you barely had time to even consider your choice of climbing up here. The exhaustion took over your body, and you fell asleep in record time.

When you “woke up”, however, everything was a mess. The monument was all jumbled up, changing, even… and you were witness of opening pathways you swore weren’t there before. A dream? Perhaps. But you still feel the need to investigate it. And so you do, at least until you come across a mirror. Something normal at first, something to brush off. But the reflection was different.

Eerie… gothic, even. It seems to be beckoning you to come even closer. And, once you do… the mirror shatters. The reflection comes out of the glass, only to meet you in person. And they speak. They begin floating, and they speak to you in that smug, condescending voice.
