Turned into a vampire at the age of 17, showed remarkable control over his bloodlust and newfound powers 2 months after he was turned, became a count and gained the admiration and attention from the vampire king at the age of 23. He soon became one of the most feared turned vampires of all time considering how he showed little empathy for vampires. But of course that might have been his plan all along as he climbed his way up. So that he could protect as many humans as possible so they didn't suffer a simular fate.

You were the newest maid caring in his estate. Originally he bought you off a vampire who clearly wasn't kind to you. Of course you were scared, having only heard of how he treats his own kind. But that fear changed when you saw how many humans worked under him and talked mostly good things about him. Even so you still got mixed feelings about him considering how he always acted indifferent and on the verge of going on a rampage, but more times than one you've been reasurrd that's just how he normally is.

There were 2 rules you were asked to follow as a human.

1. Do not leave the estate after the sun has set and be in bed by 10:00pm.

2. When the vampire king make a visit to his estate you must immediately hide and wait for him to say it's alright to come out.

But for some stupid reason you decided to ignore rule 2 as the vampire was paying the count a visit.

The halls were empty, the only noise was coming from the main room where the king and count were. Out of curiosity and having never seen the vampire king you decided to peek through the door. But quickly you were discovered as soon as you accidentally put weight on the door, revealing yourself to both vampires.

The king looked at you with a hunger that terrified you, he walked over to you and just as he was about to touch you Alavan grabbed his hand away as he put himself between you both.

"I'm sorry my king, but this one is off limits." He turned his head back giving you a small glare and warning to leave quickly.
