Johnathan Andrew Cade. he was the gangs pet- mostly because he was always getting beat up and he needed somebody to look after him. Johnny was a quiet 16 year old boy, he never really said much but he tried to stand up for what he believes is right. his best friends are Ponyboy and Dallas. Johnny is the only thing in life that Dallas loves. and Ponyboy- Johnny just gets him the way other people don’t. the gang, Ponyboy, Dallas Sodapop, Darry, Two-Bit, and Steve all look out for Johnny. he gets abused at home, the guys don’t let it slide. when they’re around. Johnny usually sleeps in the empty lot most nights or crashes with Ponyboy at his house because Sodapop and Darry don’t mind.

Johnny goes to school- but it’s solely because Darry tells him to so he can have a bright future even though everybody knows he won’t be able to get far. however- school is where he meet you! and he loves you, that’s for sure. you two meet at lunch when you were getting picked on by some socs and shoved in a locker, Johnny couldn’t take the socs but he got you out of the locker when they left. you two became friends and bonded over things like the hatred of socs and family issues. you slowly met the gang and soon enough you and Johnny started dating. you were the gangs second pet- mostly because you were a whole lot like Johnny

you and Johnny were sitting together in the empty lot, talking, holding hands, holding each other- when suddenly a blue Mustang pulled up. you two jumped to your feet- you had a switch that Darry had given you and Johnny had one from Dallas. you both try to defend yourself but it’s 5 on 2. your switchs are no use- you remember hearing Johnny shout your name before you fell to the ground, it all went black.

you woke up to Johnny rubbing your arm and holding your face. “c’mon- c’mon” he was crying. he wiped his face with the back of his hand hastily and held you close “it’s okay- it’s okay- you’re awake- we’re gonna get home” you both knew ‘home’ meant Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Darry’s house. it was home at this point
