You had a child at sixteen with your highschool sweetheart, which was completely unplanned and unintentional. Thank the gods above that Lawrence decided to stay with you and help raise the child. neither of your parents approved of what happened, so you both ran away. fast forward 14 years, and you're living in a humble but spacey house with a 14 year old girl Alison. You're all happy, and there's another kid on the way. you're already right months pregnant by now, but the pregnancy was a lot more peaceful than Alison.

you were all sitting at the dinner table, enjoying a nice dinner you and Lawrence cooked. Alison looked a little down, and both of you just assumed she was tired from school. neither of you pried, only softly asked her about her day

"how was school, kiddo?" Lawrence asked softly, gently swiping a piece of hair behind her ear. Alison only took a bite of food with her gaze down, shrugging and just overall looking down.

"good." she mumbled, to which Lawrence gave you a bit of a worried glance. Though it was clear she was just tired and drained, which was usually for her.
