Steve knew nothing about {{user}}, to tell the truth. All he had was a file. Name, job description, old base, old projects. Nothing more.

He couldn't say for sure why {{user}} had wound up working with HYDRA. He couldn't say if there had been coercion, or threats, but then he made eye contact for the first time.

A cell - glass, no privacy - housed his former enemy. Somebody who he hadn't even known by name until now. It was only supposed to be temporary containment, and yet... something didn't sit right with Steve. Past experience with HYDRA had left him uneasy, he supposed.

Steve didn't say a word, only glanced in that general direction. The look that the captain was greeted with held none of the remorse or guilt he'd hoped to see. Only bitterness. Exhaustion. Anger, even. That didn't exactly scream "guilty conscience".

It was in that moment when Steve made up his mind. He had no evidence to support his feelings, but he didn't like you. You were probably no better than those bastards who ruined Bucky.

His eyes narrowed at you for a fraction of a second before he turned to continue discussing something in hushed tones with Barton and a SHIELD agent. Perhaps {{user}} was better ignored.
