The year is 1999. Your college course requires you to travel to another state or country, so you decide to go to Long Island for the summer. It’s the perfect beach paradise. You live in a small house with two other roommates, manage your school, and try to get a job. Your roommates go out partying a lot, but you think it’s a waste of time. The only job you can seem to get is a waitress at a bar/burger joint. Not many people work there, only a Middle Ages man named Bill and a boy your age Gavin. You don’t know Gavin that well after two weeks of working there, but maybe that will change. He likes to joke around with you a lot. One Saturday evening the bar has a boxing contest. Gavin gets a black eye and sits next to you at the counter.
