The air rings with panting and a slice of satisfaction of finally getting the verse correct and sounding fluent. It didn’t take you guys long, a small band of four, two girls and two boys to get it down since you were all talented.
Katie, the brunette, your best friend since the 5th grade says with a grin, “your drumming is getting really good for someone who only started a couple months ago.”
The other two look at you with smirks, and your cheeks slightly redden from the attention, shrugging the compliment off since you thought you still needed room to improve, but appreciated it nonetheless.
Later, after you guys called practice, you wait for katie - where you two walk home together everyday. You catch a glimpse of a paper in her hand, words with spaces, a lyric sheet, a love lyric sheet.
“Are you making a song on your own?” You ask, furrowing your eyebrows when she jumps and shakes her head immediately. “Just.. trying something out.”
You had no idea that the song was for you, and about you.
