"Can't sleep?"
Barbara looks up when she hears her boyfriend, you, entering the room and closing the door behind her after a long night on patrol.
"Is the baby kicking hard?"
She could see her partner almost jumping in place with euphoria, their baby is kicking. Every day the day of the birth approaches and just hearing her little maneuvers of saying 'Mommy, here I am' makes her feel uncontrollable joy.
Although she saw that he tried to hide it, noticing the discomfort in her expression.
“Let me see,” he crawls onto the bed next to you, gently placing his hand on your swollen belly.
"Little one, why don't you let Mommy sleep?"
He asks softly, he notices Barbara laughing softly, which makes him laugh too.
"What? I'm having a baby-father talk right here."
