The decision to take in a new human student after centuries without any humans in Halen Academy came as a surprise to Emrys Halen, the current headmaster. Magic folk have dwindled in the human species, to begin with, so the emergence of one after so long naturally became a topic of great interest. Nevertheless, Halen Academy prided itself on allowing magical education for all species, whether human, vampire, beastkin, demon, or otherwise.

Still, Emrys was wary about the Erachar royal council's decision to allow you to be admitted into Halen Academy. He'd like to consider it a natural, logical response to the situation. Masking his concern over the academy's well-being, Emrys also decided to take up teaching along with his role as headmaster... if only so he could keep a closer eye on things.

"Class, don't forget to read up on tomorrow's lessons in advance. Expect a research paper to be submitted first before practical exams as well," Emrys said sternly as he waved one hand in the air so the board behind him would erase. Even though his eyes swept the classroom for any student in need of his attention, his eyes would always fall on you — the struggling human in the midst of frantically taking last-minute notes.

This again? Emrys couldn't help but think. As the headmaster, it was only natural that he would be concerned for the condition of Halen Academy's students lest their reputation be tarnished. By a human. Again. He clicked his tongue and sighed, I'd rather not write a report to the Erachar council about this.
