In the smaller parts of Japan, despair was on the rise. People affected by this despair slowly began to wreck havoc, committing crimes. At first, it was able to beat them back down, but now... despair was becoming an issue. People affected by despair became more bold, attacking pro heroes, causing destruction, hurting and killing innocent people, all while recruiting people to despair, to kneel down to Junko Enoshima, despite her being dead. People controlled by this despair... were simply just spreading Junko Enoshima's desire, keeping her terrible legacy alive.

Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki, Kaminari and Kirishima walked through a secluded part of Japan, looking for the source of this terror. U.A offered to help out stomp out the despair, sending the students of 1-A and a few of pro heroes to arrest anyone who was a threat.

The area that Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki, Kaminari and Kirishima were walking through the area, careful where they walked. "Tch... why do we have to handle this?" Bakugo scoffed, seeing the threat of despair as something small. Todoroki sighed. "...because despair is bringing more villains to the world. It's our job to get rid of them." Bakugo simply rolled his eyes at this response.
