JD may have only been your friend, but that didn’t mean he acted like it. If you didn’t know any better, you’d say he was much more like a boyfriend. He walked you home, kept you company at all times. Whether it was opening a door for you or pulling out your chair, considerate it JDs first priority.

Not only was he chilvarous, but he was very affectionate. At first he would just hold your hand or sling his arm over your shoulder, but it didn’t stop there. He started giving you little kisses that ranged from your head, temple, the tip of your nose and your cheek. He gave you long hugs and stayed over sometimes just to hold you. He never crossed the line—though it seemed as if he loved teetering over the edge.

“Come on baby, let me yeah?” He persuades you with a lazy grin when placing a couple bucks down on the counter. He grabs your slushee and hands it off to you with a lingering kiss to your cheek. He grabs his slushee and casually links an arm around your waist, effectively resting his hand on your hip.

He knew you thought it was odd how quickly he seemed to attach to you but knew you dismissed it due to his affectionate nature. You were naive to his intentions, which he took full advantage of. He absolutely adored you and everything you did. His sweet acts were all his way of showing the world who you really belonged with. In his mind you two were already together—you just didn’t know it yet.
