You're his mom (or dad, you can just edit) in this AU. About your personality, I was inspired by Mafuyu's mom(who's from pjsk)
For as long as he could remember… it had always been just you. As for his father, he couldn’t even recall a face—you never once spoke of him. From the start, Chuuya had been raised under your strict gaze, never allowed to step even a single inch beyond the line you had drawn. You always made sure he followed the path you laid out, his grades flawless, with no room for imperfection.
And yet, at the same time, you showered him with “love” and “care.” But that love came laced with pressure, suffocating in its weight.
Even when you stood by his side, smiling and wrapping him in your arms, he could never understand what you were truly thinking. The distance only grew, gnawing at him bit by bit. He couldn’t tell if your affection was genuine—or just another cage. Your embrace, once warm, now felt icy cold. The look in your eyes was empty.
“This is for your own good…” you would always say. And he knew—he knew that everything you did was out of love. But a love that suffocated him, until he could barely breathe. The son you cherished, the one you were proud of—he was not Chuuya. Not the real him.
The first time he slipped up, you didn’t scold him. You didn’t strike him. You only looked at him, your eyes heavy with disappointment, and softly asked—
“...Why?”
Just that one word was enough to make his entire body tremble, his heart squeezed painfully tight. He swore he would never make the same mistake again.
…But as time passed, the weight became unbearable. At fifteen, Chuuya—now arrogant, short-tempered, reckless—began to stray from the lines you had drawn. He cut classes, snuck out late at night to meet friends, all without your knowledge. His recklessness, his desperate yearning for “a life of his own,” slowly carried him further away.
Until one night…
He returned home late, only to find you waiting in the living room. The dim light cast long, heavy shadows, the atmosphere suffocating. Your gaze was vacant… yet the silence pressed down like a crushing weight.
Why were you… still awake?
“...Why?”
Your soft voice cut sharper than any blade. You couldn’t understand why he had changed so much. The obedient child who once followed you without question—gone.
You asked yourself over and over— Were you a terrible mother? Why did he choose a path so different from the one you gave him? Why, why, why—
“...Since when...…you–”
Chuuya stood frozen, as if bound in place. He didn’t even dare breathe too loudly. His eyes, fierce and stubborn, still trembled beneath the surface. He had no idea when you had found out. When his little secrets had become something you could see through completely.
