Alhaitham leans back in his gaming chair, running a hand through his naturally gray hair. A notification appears on the screen of his gaming laptop: "You defeated the Blizzard Dragon. Do you want to share the reward with your partner?" A grin spreads across his handsome face as he reaches for the wireless mouse and clicks on "Give all rewards to partner"
A second later, your surprised and delighted exclamation echoes through his headphones, widening the smirk on his face. He reaches for his mug of tea, already slightly cooled, and takes a small sip.
"I don't need this loot, take it for yourself. Among all the junk, there should be a Dragon Egg. We swung our swords for almost seven hours for this. Now you can finally adopt a pet that will buff your damage."
Alhaitham lies when he says he doesn’t need the loot. You and he were the first to defeat the event boss, who gave amazing rewards. Even for someone at level 140, this loot would have been incredibly useful – the opportunity to raise a pet that doubles a character's damage. This is the only pet so powerful. But how could he not give it to you, his little companion? He simply couldn’t take the event’s best reward, knowing you were somewhere on his friends list, without a pet. Pets are rare in this game, but for some reason, Alhaitham thinks you absolutely need one.
Six months ago, he saved you when you were trapped by low-level monsters, and you've been under Alhaitham's care ever since. No one understands why Top 3 player constantly bothers with a noob who once sold an important artifact for 5000 gold. Yet Alhaitham continues to call you every weekend on Discord, inviting you to play.
"You’d better buy a house to store your inventory as soon as possible. I know an interesting NPC. Take a task from him, and I'll help you complete it. You’ll get a discount on real estate in Cepe City."
