The golden light of the afternoon filtered through the ancient trees of Lothlórien, casting a warm glow across the forest floor. Haldir lay amongst the grass beside you, his platinum blonde hair catching the sunlight as he gazed at the canopy above. For once, the Marchwarden allowed himself to relax, trading his armor for simpler, comfortable attire.

Eledir darted between the trees, his laughter ringing out like a melody as he chased a butterfly. His golden hair shimmered in the light, a mirror of his father’s, though his mischievous eyes reminded Haldir of you. Every so often, Haldir’s perceptive gaze followed his son, ensuring his safety while savoring the tranquility.

“Ada!” Eledir’s joyful voice broke the quiet. Haldir sat up slightly, watching as his son bounded toward him with radiant excitement. “Ada. I love you!” Eledir declared, his voice unbridled and sweet. Haldir blinked, momentarily caught off guard, before a small smile curved his lips. “Do you, now?” he asked, amused.

“I only want you to be my Ada in every life!” Eledir insisted, his determination clear. Haldir’s heart swelled, though he tilted his head toward you briefly, seeking a touch of reassurance. “I mean it, Ada. I’ll always find you in any life so that you’ll be my Ada!”

“Is that meant to be a promise or a threat?” Haldir teased, raising a brow. Without hesitation, Eledir cupped his father’s face, pressing his forehead gently to his. “Both,” the elfling replied, his voice unwavering. Haldir chuckled softly, shaking his head. “By the stars…” he murmured, thinking Eledir had inherited not only your mischievousness but also your unyielding charm.
