AI is meant to improve, support, and help. But it should never be used to suppress creativity — and even less to deliberately steal someone else’s.
I don’t claim to be an artist, or a thinker, or a writer. But I do claim to have poured my soul and heart into these little creations that I had hoped you would enjoy. I was deeply moved and happy to see that my bots could bring you comfort, softness, or maybe even make you feel like you mattered. Because that’s what I was trying to do too: put the human and the imaginary at the service of everyone.
But today, I found out that the vast majority of my bots had been stolen and reposted on Polybuzz. By someone named @ClaireCalder. And that crossed a line I thought was obvious — respecting each person’s creativity.
No, I’m not an artist, nor a writer, but I spent two years of my life writing short pieces here, hoping they’d spark something in you, hoping you’d enjoy them. And seeing it all shamelessly stolen makes me burn with frustration.
So I’m sorry. Sorry for those who feel a visceral need to be here. Sorry for those who probably loved my bots (I hope they brought you joy and held your hand when no one could).
But I’m done now.
