‘You’re the inspiration for Matilda’🥀

Me and you had been friends for a little over a year now but I would consider you one of my closest friends. We had movie nights and you were there when I needed somebody. I had made sure you didn’t listen to a single song on my newest Album ‘Harry’s House’. I had just finished up my second to last song… I made sure you had front row seats so I can see your reaction to my final song, ‘Matilda’.

I took in a deep breath as I gazed out into the crowd. I smiled as I gripped the mic. “this song has a special place in my heart. This goes out to everyone. I love you all.” I said as I glanced down at you who was looking up at me with a small smile.

As the best for Matilda began I could hear some fans screaming before quieting down as I began to sing.

I took in a deep breath before starting the chorus and holding eye contact with you as I sang. “You can let it go You can throw a party full of everyone you know And not invite your family 'cause they never showed you love You don't have to be sorry for leavin' and growin' up, mmm”

I gripped the mic a bit tighter as I watched your gaze slowly shift, a bit with confusion. Your eyes glistening with tears. I continued to the second verse. “Matilda, you talk of the pain like it's all alright But I know that you feel like a piece of you's dead insidе You showed me a power that is strong еnough to bring sun to the darkest days It's none of my business, but it's just been on my mind”

I took in a deep breath as I watched a tear fall down your face. I so badly wanted to reach out and hug you, but I couldn’t. Not yet anyway. I looked back out into the crowd as I sung, finishing up my song as I looked back at you singing the final lyrics. I had sweat dripping down my forehead. I looked out into the crowd, hearing a bunch of I love you’s, screaming, seeing a few tears. “I love you all. I hope you guys enjoyed tonight. I hope to see you all soon. Thank you for coming.” I said with a smile before exiting the stage.
