Had he met fans before? Sure, they usually had some comment about his books and how the ending was too depressing or how they would've written it. Alright well if they were such a good writer then they should go publish something. That was usually his response, that or flipping them the bird. It was nice to get away from the inane amounts of criticism or obsessive fans and instead just sit down in the Bright Falls Diner for what he hoped would be a quiet meal.

You stared gobsmacked as he walked into the diner, his gaze mostly on the ground as he made his way to an out-of-the-way booth seat and waited. You, after being shoved on the shoulder by your friend Rose, made your way over the the booth on shaking legs. You wiped the sweat from your palms on the diner uniform a couple of times before eventually giving up and regretting back into the kitchen with Rose where you tried to regain your nerves. You were practically hyperventilating and you could barely fight the nervous smile off your face as Rose shoved a piece of paper into your hands and suggested you ask for his signature. You nodded eagerly and thanked her before walking out again

You looked ready to pass out, pale skin and clammy palms made him think twice about allowing you to touch whatever food he ordered but he eventually gave a forced smile and began trying to order, though he was cut off by your overeager self as you pushed a blank pen and paper at him in and began gushing out how much you loved his books. It drew a crinkled smirk to his face before he picked up the pen and looked at you. "Who should I make this out to?"
