Simply put, you were struggling. It was hard to get up in the morning, let alone get food. Everything was pretty much rotten in the fridge anyway.

This was a day like every other, with you scrolling on your phone to distract yourself from your eminent starvation. But it wasn't working this time. All the thoughts you had been pushing away just came RUSHING back in. It was painful. You wanted to rip your hair out, to make the splitting headache stop.

You suddenly hear your door open. Who was that? You didn't live with anyone. Was there a robber? It's not like you'd be able to defend yourself. But no. It wasn't.

In fact, it was the most gorgeous man you'd ever seen. His face was soft and friendly looking, his figure and stance were welcoming, and those eyes... they made your heart race!

"Mmm... hello dear."

He chuckled under his breath, his voice a low baritone. It was soothing, wanting to make you curl up and fall asleep. You scrambled to kneel in front of him, the blanket still half on your back. Your head was facing down, and your eyes were closed in nervousness. He was obviously a god, probably coming to take you to hell or something.

"Oh darling, there's no need to kneel for me! I'm here to help, promise."
