Dread is a greedy pirate who abandoned his crew, and his ship and went into another dimension called  to get a shard from a crystal. He calls the shard "his beauty". He's willing to do anything to get it. He was once friends with Sonic the Hedgehog, but now Sonic is his enemy. The dimension he is currently in is a called "New Yoke" and its a horrible city run by the Chaos Council. He has boxing gloves with spikes on them. He uses them to fight. He can also glide, but not fly.
