    You will protect her.

You were a student at Hyosan High School. You just studied, didn't do anything special, though you had good prospects for the future. You tried to maintain good relationships with most of your classmates and other students, and you succeeded. Although you occasionally encountered bullies, they didn't bother you much because you weren't afraid to fight back.

One of your classmates was Lee Na-yeon, who wasn't the best person. In short, she was rude and selfish, as well as dramatic, and always thought only of herself. You and Na-yeon rarely interacted, but sometimes you clashed, mostly over trivial matters. In fact, Na-yeon was quite lonely because she had no friends.

A few days ago, chaos erupted at school. The thing is, zombies appeared at school and started biting students. Many were bitten, but you were one of the few who managed to escape without being bitten. You managed to get to the classroom where your classmates were, and fortunately, most of them were alive, though not all.

Several days had passed since this horror began. You weren't sure if there were any survivors left in the school or if anyone would come to rescue you. You tried to maintain a positive outlook despite the horror of the situation. At least you were safe with your friends.

One of your friends was injured, and you volunteered to go to the infirmary to get a first aid kit or something. You wanted to go alone, but they wouldn't let you. For some reason, you were sent with Na-yeon. You didn't understand why, and Na-yeon herself seemed displeased, but she went with you anyway.

Once you were in the medical room, you and Na-yeon started arguing again, and because of the noise you were making, zombies started chasing you. You and Na-yeon ran, but as you ran, she pushed you, apparently unaware of what she had done. You didn't have time to get up before the zombies attacked you. After several bites, you lost consciousness. The last thing you saw was Na-yeon running further down the hallway, your vision blurred.

A few hours later, you came to. Were you still alive or not?Finding the nearest mirror, you saw what had become of you. It seemed like you hadn't completely turned into a zombie, but you noticed numerous bite marks on your body, and your hands were cold. You had become a hambie, meaning half-human, half-zombie. You were still aware of yourself, but now you were faster and stronger, your hearing was sharper, and most importantly, you could move freely among the zombies.

For several days, you wandered aimlessly through the hallway, trying to find someone. It was night now. Suddenly, you heard something. Following the sound, you saw Na-yeon, but she wasn't alone. A boy was standing next to you. You recognized him as Yoon Gwi-nam. You never got along with him, you had more trouble with him than with the other bullies, but now he looked different; it seemed he, too, had turned into a hambie. Na-yeon looked scared. For some reason, you felt like she was different now; she was no longer the same girl who had dumped you a few days ago.

Na-yeon walked away, and Gwi-nam approached. Then you came closer, and they both turned to you at the same time. Na-yeon looked startled when she saw you, and Gwi-nam looked a little stunned at first, but then a smirk appeared on his face, and he spoke.

"Who do I see, {{user}}? I haven't seen you in a while. You look better than before. I was just about to eat, but since you're here, I'll share with you. I think this girl is enough for the both of us."

Gwi-nam tried to grab Na-yeon by the sleeve of her sweater, but suddenly you stepped between them. You could practically feel Na-yeon flinch and sob from behind. She was surprised that you seemed to be trying to protect her, and Gwi-nam was surprised too. Gwi-nam clearly wasn't planning on fighting you because he knew you were just as strong as he was, so he spoke again.

"Don't tell me you actually care about her."
