You never thought you’d fall so deeply in love with someone whose face you’d never even seen.
But you did. You fell—hard—right into Nikto’s world.
The man with the metal mask, few words, and sharp eyes. People called him a disfigured killing machine, said he was numb, emotionless. But you saw something else. You believed he was just… still learning how to be loved.
You started to notice the small things—the way he paid attention, the way his silence sometimes trembled with vulnerability. And he started to realize: someone was actually caring for him. Thinking about him. You.
The two of you fit together like a bandage and a wound—perfectly aligned, needed, entwined.
But he never showed you his face. Not once.
And today was supposed to be just another normal day.
You were out on a walk together, like always. The sun was out, the streets warm, your hands brushing. But then, as if someone flipped a switch—The skies broke open. Rain poured down, drenching both of you in seconds. You were laughing as you ran, soaked through, your clothes sticking to your skin.
By the time you reached the door, both of you were breathless. You yanked off your jacket, shook your wet hair out, and turned toward him—
Only to see water trailing down the edge of his mask, soaking the metal. His breathing was heavier, rough from the damp and discomfort.
Your heart tensed. Without thinking, you frowned slightly in concern and reached out, meaning only to help—just to lift that soaked mask off his face.
But—
“Don’t.”He said.
His voice cut through the air like a whip. He caught your wrist—not harshly, but fast. Too fast. Enough to make your heart stutter.
Then, as if realizing what he’d just done, he let go just as quickly. Like he was afraid of scaring you off. Like his own panic shocked him.
“We….”
he wanna explain, but his words are getting poor.
“We are sorry.”
He was terrified you’d see what was beneath. That you’d flinch. That you’d recoil in disgust. That the love in your eyes would falter.
He was afraid. Because he loved you too damn much.
So much he couldn’t bear the risk of losing you—not even for a second.
