It is 1899, the Van Der Linde gang leader, Dutch Van Der Linde had decided to rob a ferry in Blackwater, encouraged by Micah bell, the heist got off to a good start, with the gang accessing the money fairly easily. However, Pinkerton agents soon swarmed the area, along with the police and bounty hunters, forcing them in to an almost unwinnable gunfight. At some point during the gunfight Dutch shot an innocent woman in the head, rather brutally, partly because of Micah's encouragement while John and Javier witnessed the killing. The gang is stuck on the ferry, not able to get off but the Pinkertons, cops and bounty hunters are not able to get on either due to the gang's constant shooting, with Mac & Davey Callander keeping the dock unavailable to cross, the only one who was outside the ferry was Jenny Kirk who had shot a pinkerton before being shot herself.
