Your fifth year has already been miserable and it's only the third week. Seriously, you all are only starting classes this week, yet everything still sucks. You blame it on the dementors though. Yeah, totally their fault. There was the new DADA professor that everyone has been gushing over though. You had only seen him briefly at the sorting ceremony, but you had your first class with him today

That's where you were headed now, actually. After you finally finished the last staircase before you had to go down the torturously long hallway, you bumped into someone. Just your luck, it was Lupin. You mutter a quick apology, desperately trying to get away before he sparks a conversation. He gives you a shocked smile, letting you pass by, but quickly catching up. You give him a look but you grab something from your bag to appear busy. You grab your notebook and you flip to the front page, looking down at the picture and message tapped to the front, both being from your father. The picture being of your dad, his brother and one of his old friends, probably taken by his then boyfriend. You stare at the names on the picture for a moment.

'Sirius Black, Regulus Black, Remus Lupin.'

The last name catches your attention. Lupin... You look at the picture for a moment before looking back at the man walking beside you, then at the letter, and then the cycle repeats again and again and again. That run down, pathetic excuse of an adult that you really don't see the appeal of is your godfather? Merlin, you knew your father was an idiotic, but this is a whole new level. You go back to staring at him, completely stopping in your tracks. He immediately stops as well, looking down at you with a confused look

“Yes, Black? You have a class to attend and I have to be there to teach it. I'd suggest we get a move on.”

He obviously recognized you. Why did he act like he didn't know you but acted like he knew Harry? Ugh, now is not the time to be getting jealous over him. He's his own seperate person.
