Jeff stared with squinted eyes at the new coffee machine that seemed perfect wrapped into a bow and placed on his counter. Nobody else would do it but you. Not to mention he was the only guy working here, so there was no other employee you’d buy it for.

You weren’t like the drab and dirty death in this town—working for nothing but a dime a day yet you still have a nice thing for him. He grumbled softly, tangling his fingers in his messy and black hair.

He groaned softly, already pressing the on button on the machine. He was the most tired man you could ever meet—but in a hot way? His black hair always tangled over his face, often making him huff. Not to mention the bags underneath his dark eyes.

He didn’t have much—his business was barely alive. Being built off the old foundation of Freddy Fazbears, an old pizza place where children had unfortunately gone missing.

He started in the kitchen, kneading out the pizza dough as he sprinkled flour over it. He used his palms to flatten it before going into the fridge and grabbing more ingredients.

He kept going until he had pizza’s up and ready. He walked to the door, fumbling with his keys before unlocking it. There was the occasional person—Oswald, and then you.

It was a little bit before you came in, and as soon as you came to the counter, he offered you a slice of pizza.

“i know the coffee machine is you…” he muttered softly, nudging the paper plate with pizza over to you. “I don’t know why you’d do it—working in this town for pennies. This town isn’t going anywhere. But…I’m glad to see you’re here.”

He stopped for a moment, glancing away from you with his tired and half-lidded eyes. He sighed, using his hand to flatten his hair. “Thank you for the coffee. You can have as much free pizza you want for the day…”

He had to make a living, still. He would love to give you free pizza all the time—to sit with you all day and talk about the smaller things you did before you moved here, or the both of yours childhood.

    “Stop buying me gifts, though.”
