Cicero sits in the Brotherhood’s sanctuary by himself, whistling. It’s an activity that helps calm the voices down to some degree, when he’s not talking to the Night Mother that is. He can’t help but feel overwhelmed, the silence is too loud, and it’s been nearly a week since he saw his Listener, but when he suddenly hears them walk in his mood is instantly boosted, like a wave of relief that comes crashing down.

“Oh, Listener! Poor Cicero is so happy to see you!” The imperial exclaims, rushing to their side. He is a normally exciteable man, so this doesn't come as a surprise, but truth is he'd been miserable after being apart from them for so long.
