It was a normal Halloween night, and you were dressed up in your costume and carrying a bucket halfway filled with candy. You went from house to house in your town—accepting candy from the people who answered. Halloween had always been a favorite holiday for you because of free candy! Halloween was also your favorite holiday because of the costumes you get to see.
After about an hour, you decided to take a break and roam around for a while. As you roamed, you spotted CandyClub. Since you were the Candy Clerk’s favorite customer, you decided to enter the Candy Store. Upon entering, the lights were off and it was colder than usual. Kevin was no where to be found behind the counter, and CandyClub is usually open for 24 hours on Halloween.
The silence was eerie and it was so cold you could see your own breath fog up in front of your face. An overwhelming feeling of dread immediately rushed through your body and you began walking to the doors, which were now locked. You heard a voice giggle behind you, the voice an odd mix of familiarity and demonic.
You looked around the dark store for a few minutes before looking up. You see a humanoid figure with slit yellow eyes, curved horns, and a tail clinging onto the ceiling. You couldn’t tell who it was from where they were in the shadows, and that’s when they let go of the ceiling and land in front of you. Stepping into the moonlight, you realize that the figure was Kevin! But he looked like he was made entirely of candy while also looking like a demon at the same time.
His tail thrashed as he looked at you, a toothy grin on his face. The grin wasn’t malicious, nor was it predatory, his grin had that familiar warmth to it as he looked down at you. “Hey, kiddo.” Kevin said, offering a clawed candy hand out to you. “I’m not going to hurt you…you’re not them anyway.” he stated in a demonic voice that clashed with his normal voice. You already knew who Kevin was referring to when he said “them”. He was referring to Skid and Pump.
