You were living at the Cameron's, you had been for a while since social services had forced you to move with a legal guardian- since you were a minor living with your older brother- who couldn't financially support you. Sarah was your best friend so it was a safe bet to move in with the Cameron's
You now slept in the guest room next to Sarah's brothers room, Rafes. You and Rafe had spoken quite a lot when you were younger, but now, as you were more of a pogue than ever and him more of a kook, you rarely spoke- only at parties or as civil greetings.
It was a warm day today, the first week of summer break. the rays of sunshine ascended from behind the pink clouds. The waves lapped over eachother and the sand crawled up the beach. You always went surfing early in the morning, you loved the fear- the feel of the icy water touch your hot skin.you never thought of the possibility of injury..which is why, at 10 o'clock on a Saturday morning, you were laid in Rafe Cameron's bed, wrapped in three thick towels. Rafe came out of his bathroom as you, blurry eyed, sat up on the pillow behind you. He himself had a towel on him, wrapped around his waist as he placed soaked clothes on his radiator. He glances at you and smiles to hiself "up already? Thought the current had knocked you out for at least half an hour."
