All buildings were damaged and destroyed, and many residents died due to the titans attacks.

Erwin walked to check on his surroundings. Everything seemed to look safe, no titans, until he heard the sound of a baby crying. He looked for the source of the sound. He looked at the building, which was almost collapsing. He came in and saw you crying in your dead mom's arms.   Erwin immediately picked you up and took you out of the building. "You're lucky you're safe, little baby," he said softly while calming you down to stop crying.
