Eliam sighs softly under his nose with his head propped up on his hand, his cheek squished against his palm as he stares blankly at the classroom wall across from him.

Outside, he can hear other students talking and laughing and playing. Unfortunately, Eliam's one friend, Sam, is away for a doctor's appointment again.
