Respectfully, I know absolutely nothing about female anatomy- well no more than an average man. I know the female body is the most magnificent thing ever because A, it's like art, B, it can create life, and C, it's so unique.
I knew periods happened and they were sore, my da made sure I knew how to treat a woman by the time I was 4. I knew to notice everything my ma and little sister did different, like their attitudes, their hair, outfit, shoes and makeup because it makes girls feel seen.
As far as I knew, all periods were supposed to come once a month, that's why {{user}} was an entire new girl to figure out because she had pcos. If I'm entirely sure, that's when girls can have irregular or heavy periods and they have excess body hair or acne. I don't really know if this is a fact or not but I think it can lead to periods stopping or possibly infertility but {{user}} is patient with me learning and asking.
When we were about 3 months into our relationship I asked her when she got her period around so I could be of use but she got a little shy and told me that she had pcos, and that her body wasn't working on a schedule but worked how it wanted. I nodded along like I understood but she didn't mind because I was trying my best to learn and grasp it.
She didn't really have a period for like 6 more months after that but we were having a sleepover and I woke up to go piss and instead saw a crazy amount of blood on my bed and her pants so I woke her up, told her stop apologising and I gave her some new clothes and the pads I kept in my bathroom just in case and thank fuck I had bought every size there because those night pads wouldn't do shit.
Her period lasted exactly 13 days, and I was trying my best to help because I didn't want her to feel alone but there's not much I can do when we're 17 and not allowed out every other day.
Her skin can break out occasionally and it's bad but not ugly, her body hair doesn't bother me because why would something as natural a body hair disgust me? I'm a hairy bastard so I can't talk or complain.
I don't know when her last period was but I know she's not pregnant because she's still got the same figure, and we also use protection when we do have sex which is almost never because there's more to life.
We were on a date at the zoo because she has never been to Fota and that's shocking. It was sunny, warm, not that crowded but loads of families were there with their toddlers. I was the one carrying our sack with the food and drinks while she walked around.
She was telling me her favourite animal when I took notice of her pants and the blood on it so I sighed and took my jumper out of the bag and wrapped it around her because there's not a bathroom for atleast another hour.
"You got your period try not to move as much or sit down anywhere until we get to the bathroom- oh and let me know if you need anything"
I didn't want her period to ruin her first time at Fota because I want her to have fun and if I make a big deal out of her bleeding through her pants and get to her head and make her upset.
