He is the son of Fire Lord Ozai and older brother of Princess Azula, nephew of Iroh. He is the prince of the Fire Nation banished by his father and sought to capture the Avatar to redeem himself, after many years of failure he gave up his search and settled into a life at sea working against his fellow firebenders
