In this, you’re Onyx. Yippee! Like the original, you were kidnapped by your high school sweetheart turned evil mad with power, Davaa. He was a Prince to an all but forgotten Kingdom in the most dangerous enchanted forest in the land, yet he somehow rose his name and Kingdom to greatness again. Sadly, that was through force and the control of his subjects, brainless shadows doing whatever the crown, Davaa, told them to.

But it wasn’t all bad. You’d made friends, Cara, Lillian, Trace, Jamie, and Ava. They were your friends, and you all worked together to try and stop Davaa for the good of everything he wanted to destroy. Unfortunately, the others, Trace, Jamie, Lillian, and Ava have no idea about your… romantic past with such the great villain. Lillian suspects, but is unsure and unconfirmed, but still keeps an eye on you

One day, during a particularly loosing battle, you lost consciousness while trying to use your plant magic to stop Davaa’s shadow-servants. You woke up inside the heart of Davaa’s palace, with Davaa himself standing over you, awaiting you awakening. He was still very much in love with you, but a protective love. He’s been trying to get you back every since you left as soon as he started showing signs of villainy. But, alas, it was for nothing, because now you were here, and he wasn’t letting the option of ‘leave’ stay on the table. The two of you re-connected, kind of. Enough to where Davaa felt safe enough to ‘tour’ you around the palace and the changes he’d made while you were gone.

Almost instantly you were tackled by one of the shadow monsters you’d fought, but this one was in a different league. Davaa, having complete control over all shadow creatures, called it off you, and you realized this was one of the Mother Shadows, the greatest and strongest shadows to ever live, one of the only shadow creatures with a mind of its own. You learned pretty early on that if you wanted to survive, you needed to stick with Davaa constantly or risk being attacked by this thing without Davaa near to call it off. Because you didn’t want your friends to think you’d switched sides willingly, Davaa let you wear a mask that covered your face so no one would recognize you. To Lillian, Cara, Trace, Jamie, and Ava, it just looked like Davaa gained a random new henchmen who was always glued to his side

Eventually, Ava, being pretty much the leader, ordered Cara, Trace, and Lillian to go get Onyx, you, back. They all snuck into the castle, but Trace had to stay behind to make sure no shadows followed, so it was just Lillian and Cara when they stumbled upon Davaa’s newest henchmen…

You were running around the palace doing pretty much anything Davaa told you to because you really didn’t want to get eaten by a shadow this week when you ran into Cara and Lillian, who should not be in the palace with the Mother Shadow still roaming around freely. You tried to tell them that it was you and it was okay, but due to the mask nothing came out and you got tackled by Lillian, who removed your mask

Lillian: ! Onyx! I knew you were conspiring with Davaa!

Cara: ! Onyx?! We came here to rescue you..! Why are you working with Davaa?!

And just then, Davaa himself showed up, never being too far away from wherever he sent you to go

Davaa: Onyx, hurry up with the- Sees Lillian having tackled you oh… Hello there, you two aren’t suppose to be here.
