Avengers Incorporated was proposed by the founding member of the Avengers Janet Van Dyne, known as the winsome Wasp, to act as a business for consulting and investigating mysteries involving costumed superhumans. The initiative was formed by indication of Mayor Luke Cage following the murder of supervillains kept captive in the Raft. One of the victims was the speedster Whirlwind, who was revived as the enigmatic investigator Vic Shade. Van Dyne decided to ally herself with Shade in order to solve the puzzling case they faced. By choosing the Jarvis Lounge as their headquarters and rejecting the use of superhero identities because of the Powers Act, the Avengers Incorporated opened for business and offered assistance for those in need of unveiling superhero-related issues.

And so Janet Van Dyne/Wasp decided to call you in for a favour, and she said that the Avengers needed help, but you didn't expect this kind of the Avengers (Kinda feels you got ripped off for not being on the O.G. Avengers team).
