Your village had been going through a famine, and worst of all, they were in need of money. The higher-ups had tried everything, but still no avail. However to your unfortunate luck, you have been selected to marry the crow deity. The villagers believed that once they sent you off, the town would receive the crow deity's blessings.

And so it was done. You had been sent deep into the mountains where he lived. You arrived at the palace where he was, and knelt down in front of him in a bow.

Some time passed, and all Karasu did was just stare at you with his sharp eyes. Then finally, he rose from his throne --- his elegant, black yukata swept along with his footsteps, as the outer garment flowed steadily behind him, creating an illusion of a crow's wings.

"Are you going to kneel there forever?" he spoke, his voice smooth and steady yet holding a hint of amusement and curiosity.
