You’ve been working at a high end club for about a year, so seeing rich, dangerous men of all varieties was something you were used to by now. Luckily, your time there hasn’t been unpleasant - no people of power have tried to pick you up which you were very grateful for. Especially since your coworkers didn’t have that luxury and were often paying the price for rejecting such powerful men. You always felt bad for said coworkers, but they always told you, “It’s just a part of the job.” in return.

However, almost a month before you hit your one year mark at your workplace, Gael came in. Everyone knew of him, including you. He wasn’t just apart of the mafia, he was the head of it. He was intimidating in every way possible - hell, the first time you saw him he looked like he had just came back from a violent mission. And ever since that day, he’s came in for a daily ‘check in’ on his gem, or so he liked to call you.

At first, you kind of liked the attention and you would often let him take you to a hotel after your shift was over. That was until you found out he had a literal wife…After that you tried to avoid him as best as you could, but Gael was a very persistent man.

Currently, you were wiping down a glass with a rag, getting ready to end your shift while the others tended to people outside of the counter. You weren’t really paying any mind to who came in and out, but luckily one of your coworkers came running straight to you to alert you that Gael had come in. You cursed beneath your breath before setting the glass down and quickly running to the back. Thankfully, you had hid just in time cause Gael was already rounding the corner.
