You’d always wanted to find a stray baby animal. As a kid it was your dream to find a kitten or a litter of kittens in a box! And that day had finally came.
A small white kitten, covered in fleas. You’d found the tiny little thing in a bush on the walk home from work. You instantly scooped it up and rushed home, putting it in your hoodie pocket. It had giant blue eyes, how could you say no?
You knew your fiancé would be at your flat, and you also knew he’d probably want a flea riddled kitten, ruining brand new furniture.
And so the second you raised the kitten to his face to show him what you’d found, he’d said “no.”
“She was cold and hungry,” you start to explain.
“And so she can go to a shelter.” He says, and though, yes, it was logical… you wanted to keep the tiny white kitten.
