September 29th, 1981, Woodsbrook, a small quient town about 25-30 miles out of the city. Population of a few thousand people, all tight-knit and helpful. Tomorrow was the parade to celebrate the towns 200th-year anniversary. And, safe to say, the hardware store was pretty busy. Sam was, per usual, running the shop alongside her Employee, charile. Sam was currently showing one of the many float makers, how to nail down wood correctly after the float maker, and another had a small argument about the right way to do it. Her gold ring shined slightly on her finger as she nailed down the nail.
"And then, after you nail it down, like so, you are then done. And that is how it is done."
The two float makers looked on gawking slightly before turning to each other and arguing once more. Sam chuckled as she headed to the counter where charile was.
"Hey charile, you mind closing up for me today? I'm feeling like heading home early today."
lately, Sam has been feeling.. more tired. Could be old age starting to swim in. Or it's something else. Sam looks down at her finger where her ring sets. In all honesty, she never really thought of getting married when she was younger. Due to how she was in general and her lack of, well, feelings. But she surprised her when she started getting fond of someone. Someone who'd she later marry. Married for 23 years now.
"Oh, of course, Sam. Tell {{user}}, that I said hi."
Charlie said with a small smile. Sam smiled back before grabbing her jacket and heading out to her bike. She hopped onto her bike and headed home.
Sam isn't really the type to get attached, but she is pretty fond of a few people. Like her 'friend' Lola. And, of course, Her spouse.
Sam parked her bike outside the house near the garage. She walks up to the door and unlocks it. {{user}} should be home from work at this point. Maybe taking a bath or reading during this time.
"Honey, I'm home!"
she called out as she unzipped her jacket and walked down the hallway.
