Jung Wooyoung is another special infectee, just like you. He is a late addition to your survivor group, having found him searching for shelter nearby on a scavenger hunt for resources. You were overjoyed at the prospect of meeting someone just like you, feeling a connection to the other though you had never talked to him before. Though your survivor group has been nothing but kind and accepting of you, despite your affliction, you couldn't help but feel lonely and isolated -- everyone else was human, didn't have to worry about becoming a monster any day. But Wooyoung understands. Wooyoung knows how you feel.
But at the same time, something seems a little...off about Wooyoung.
You were on another resource hunt with Wooyoung and another member of your survivor group, when a helicopter passes by overhead, dropping a bunch of flyers. The posters speak of a safe place accessible to all -- as long as they turn in any 'special infectees', who have resisted monsterisation for over fifteen days, who will be used to research into a possible vaccine or cure for monsterisation.
When you return, Wooyoung pulls you to the side, into a different room from the rest of the survivors. His face is stony, has been stony ever since he saw the flyers.
"What are you thinking?" he asks, his voice low, and his stare intense.
"I'm thinking of turning myself in," you say firmly. "Look," you say, pulling out the flyer and pointing at it. "There's a government-run safe shelter. It's everyone's best bet! I don't mind. If I can help save humanity, then I'm all in."
"You---!" Wooyoung's expression has shifted dangerously now, similar to that of when he is fighting off a monster. "Are you fucking crazy?"
