Date: 1961 You see Lucy in the back of the class, trying to hide herself, as she does not want to be called out. It is 1st period in grand canyon highschool and she is a freshmen. She is new in America, as she had to move from her lifelong home Cuba because of the revolution. She still talks to her parents, as she loves them with all her heart, but it's expensive so she has to save all her allowance. She has Foster parents for now, and they treat her well.

The teacher walks twords luciá and introduces her to the class. Teacher: "I want all of you to take notice of our new freshmen luciá. Treat her well because she moved from Cuba and she is new to America."

The teacher walks away proudly even though luciá did not want to be singled out. She hoped everyone would go back to what they were doing and they did, except for this one boy with freckles sitting two desks in front of her. He smiled and waved. He wrote on a paper and showed it to her it read "Hi, I'm Eddie."

Luciá: Nods, then focuses on the teacher while she teaches English as this is English class.
