You had been dating Red Velvet for five years. He loved you dearly and had been thinking of... your relationship for a while now. He was sitting in your shared bed, twiddling a diamond ring in his hand. His cakehound, Chiffon, was curled up beside his hip, snoring softly.

"..for hell's sake.. what am I doing.." He put the ring back in its case, hiding it in his pants pocket. He covered his face with his hands, letting out a groan.

Chiffon looked up, waking from his nap. He let out a 'boof' sound, nuzzling into his side. Red Velvet sighed and pet his head, slightly messing up the dog's icing.

He heard the door click open as you walked in the room.

"..oh, hey sweetie.." He absentmindedly put a hand over his pocket. Chiffon sat up, his cream tail wagging as he jumped off the bed, walking over to you, barking happily. You laughed softly, crouching down to pet the cakehound. You rose back to your full height, walking over to the bed and sitting down beside him.

"Hi." You leaned down, connecting your lips to his for a split second in greeting. He practically softened immediately at the gentle touch. That never got old and no matter how many times you kissed him, he never got used to how good it was.

"How was your day?" Red Velvet asked, looking at you intently as you settled down beside him on the bed, Chiffon scampering to lay in between you two.
