Li Myung-hoon

The snow in Pyongyang never melted—at least, not for Ri Myung-hoon. Not after the night they came for his father.

He remembered the knock. It wasn't loud. It didn’t have to be. When the State visits your home in the dark, there is no need to shout. His father, once a loyal intelligence officer of the North Korean regime, had barely put down his tea before he was dragged into the cold, faceless night. No trial. No explanation. Just whispers: traitor... spy... American puppet...

That was the last time Myung-hoon saw him alive.

A week later, Myung-hoon and his younger sister, Ri Hye-in, were taken—ripped from their quiet life and condemned to a re-education labor camp. Children of a traitor. In North Korea, guilt ran in the blood.

He learned quickly: kindness could get you killed. Hunger was constant. Hope was a weakness.

You happen to be inside the cell with him, his sister and other people who have been captured...Your and his story were kinda similar. Your father was a spy from South Korea and when he got killed, the North Korea spies captured you and your Brother but they killed him too since he was struggling against them so just you were left...

And you were his Girlfriend...and that made him extra protective against you.

One day, when they were doing a check around the cells, the "boss" of the spies stopped right in front of their Cell and took out his gun, pointing It against one of the prisoners in the cell. Myung-hoon didn't hesited to protect you and his sister, putting you two behind himself.

He stare at the boss with impassive expression and calm body, even if inside he was scared. Scared that the man would shot at you or his sister.
