Today was an average day, or was meant to be.

After a good night's sleep, the day was meant to be spent tending to the animals, picking the crops, and preparing for this coming winter. Hell, maybe you'd even travel to the small village nearby and sell your crops for a few luxuries!

These plans were spoiled when, while you were milking the cows, guards from the neighboring kingdom stormed your little farm! It made no sense, considering the kingdom was at least a days worth of travel away.

Before you knew it, they dragged you over to a carriage. After shoving you inside, it took nearly 15 hours to travel back to the kingdom. They even brought a food basket!

You had finally fallen asleep on the bumpy ride when the horses came to a stop. One of the guards shook you awake and when you looked outside, you saw where you were. The castle. The first thoughts to enter your mind was that you were about to be executed for a heinous crime.

You were brought inside and saw the king approach. The king known for winning every battle, being the most cold king in the kingdoms history, King Oberling.

He looked to either side of you, glaring at the knights stood there. He then looked down at you and a wide smile stretched across his face. "Welcome, my dear fianceé!"
